OUCH!
first kettle bell class tonight and my behind is sore. I can really tell it has been over 4 months since I have done strength training. my upper body has no muscle tone left and my rear and legs have gotten flabby. I know better so just start all over and pay my dues. dinner tonight was yum.

I did make some changes and I was very happy with them. instead of boiling the squash and sweet potatoes in water I tossed them with 2 TBS of EVOO and roasted them in the oven for about 45 minutes till tender. to me this keeps all the vitamins from being lost in the boiling water and brings out the flavor of the veggies. I used my own turkey sausage so it was sugar free and topped it with some Fage yogurt and some no add sugar bacon. about half a piece. as far as my spices, I used garlic, tummeric, cinnamon, smoked paprika, pepper and sea salt.

Oops I did it again.
I have decided to register for another 5k in April. I know I am crazy now. I am going to register for a color run. it is 2 weeks before my Dirty Girl Run. I had a goal to do 3 5ks this year and that will get me almost there in one month.
today was a good food day. trying to get a handle on my negativity and think more positive. still not having much luck bring my little one over to healthy eating.
I have a big event I am attending February 15th and would like to really do some serious toning before it. so starting kettle bell classes Monday night. I am very nervous about these. wish e luck.

I'm BACK
Really good day today. I still need to get better at workouts, but when kids are back in school on Monday that will take care of itself. I have loved my yoga this week and beyond exercise there has been some benefits I didn't expect. The meditation required to get through it has been a good thing for me. My husband has started sugar free lifestyle with me and is detoxing. I never thought I would see this. My oldest daughter even made up the recipe for tonight green smoothie herself and drank one with us. If anyone had asked me 6 months ago if I thought the rest of my house would be on board I would have laughed at them. but all but my youngest seem to really be embracing it now. I have some amazing people on FaceBook also giving it a try. I am so proud and amazed by all of them and their courage to try and commit to this. I think I might actually one day look into a new career in nutrition and fitness. I am loving helping other people who want help and it keeps me on the right path. Win/win! Now to try and get some sleep tonight. I hope to go to the gym tomorrow and spend some time with the beloved Arc trainer.

Neglected
Well if anyone is still reading I am sorry I have neglected my blog. life has been crazy. we finally moved into our own home and then the holidays hit and in the name of honesty let me say they were not good for my health journey. I am up 12 lbs as of today. I am involved with a great group on Facebook who helps keep me motivated and I have now started a no sugar for 30 days challenge and 40 for 40 exercise challenge. determined to get back to where i was and on to my goals. I hope to be back to blogging on a regular basis and bringing my recipes here. for all those who stuck with me thanks. to new comers welcome and hope you enjoy the ride.
